About
Ralph Bunche Center
Ralph Bunche Center, also
known as Cherokee County Headstart Pre-K Center is home of
many pre-school age children. We are a unique school made up
of mostly Headstart classes, one Georgia Pre-K class, and a
preschool special needs class.
Within our Head Start
program we are able to provide a range of individualized
services in the areas of education and early childhood
development; medical, dental, and mental health; nutrition;
and parent involvement.
All of our teachers have on
thing on their mind; providing your pre-schooler with the
best head start to education possible. For more information,
or to enroll your child into our program, please contact us
at 770-479-2533.
Bright from the Start Centers
of Distinction Recognition
The Center of Distinction
certificate is awarded to child care centers that meet a
high level of quality childcare for children 0-4 years old.
Center of Distinction was awarded for the care and education
being provided in their infant, toddler and preschool
classes.
The observation teams use the Infant/Toddler Environment
Rating Scale, Revised Edition and the Early Childhood
Environment Rating Scale, Revised Edition, both written by
Thelma Harms, Debby Cryer and Richard M. Clifford to assess
center-based programs.
The child care learning center's average score from the
observation is used to determine if a child care learning
center meets the state's criteria for the Center of
Distinction or Center of Recognition.
