Center - School Rules
- Please mark your
child’s name on all personal items.
- Children should attend
school every day.
-
Children MUST have two
current emergency phone numbers on file.
- Parents are required
to pick their child up early in cases of bad weather or
when school is dismissed early.
- Parents are to follow
the Cherokee County School Calendar and Student
Discipline Policy.
- Children should wear
comfortable, washable clothes that are suitable for
outside play.
- Breakfast and lunch
are provided, children are NOT allowed to bring food to
school, unless parent furnishes a doctor’s statement
declaring the child is on a diet.
- The cafeteria will
provide an alternate food for a child who is diagnosed
with a food allergy.
- A child who gets sick
or runs a fever will need to be picked up immediately by
the parent or guardian.
- Children are NOT
allowed to bring toys to school unless the teacher sends
a note.
- All children MUST go
outside during outdoor activities. No child can be left
in the room while the others are outside.
- Children should have a
change of clothes/bag that can be left at school in case
of an accident.
- DO NOT send over-the-
counter medicine to school. Family Partners can only
give prescription medicine AFTER the parent completes a
medication form.
- Under NO circumstances
are children released to anyone other than those listed,
by the parents, on file!
- Parents should keep
staff informed of any changes of phone numbers, address,
place of work or baby sitters.
- When dropping off and
picking up, parents are required to escort their child
to and from the classroom.

Bus Rules
- The driver
shall not start the bus until all children are loaded
and seated.
- Children are to remain
seated until the bus has come to a complete stop.
- There must be two
adults on board the bus when there are one or more
children present.
- Children must keep
their feet, head, and arms in- side of the seating area,
not in the aisle.
- Children must keep
their head, hands and feet in side the bus at all times.
- Parents are asked to
discuss the bus rules with their child to insure that
they understand what behavior is acceptable while riding
the bus.
